In this event, users will submit world themes, genres, characters, and/or plot twists to be used within upcoming short stories written by our very room! On a bi-weekly basis, we will randomly pick one submission from each category for writers to use in that cycle’s stories. Each entry will be judged based on how well the author was able to incorporate the selected elements while also putting their own unique twist on the story.
The word limit for this event is 2500. However, creativity rarely knows such restrictions, so if one's writing material is above or below the limit by a bit it will still be viable for submission!
Setting - the overall theme of the world in which the story takes place. Examples: utopia, dystopia, mythical, outer space, futuristic, etc.
Genre - the genre which the story falls into. Examples: action, adventure, romance, science fiction, fantasy, drama, etc. (NOTE: We do not accept works of explicit content, I.E Erotica.) Character - the name of the main character. (OPTIONAL: You may also give a brief description of the character to help writers better define their role.)
Plot twist - a twist that occurs within the story at some point. Example: "Michael had arrived at the door, and Michelle was so happy to see him. However, with the reveal of a golden tooth, Michelle would know that it wasn't Michael, but his evil twin, Martin!"
